What is assist:directory?

assist:directory is a feature rich on-line business and members directory. It's basically a list of businesses/memebrs published in an easy to use, searchable format on your website.

Who will want the directory?

Any organisation that needs to manage a list of members, be it businesses or individuals, on the web.

How does the directory integrate with our existing website?

assist:directory slots seamlessly into your existing website. It can open in an iFrame (a window that opens within an existing page) or in a new window from a link from your website. The directory will be branded like your own site so people won't realise they are using a separate service.

What is a hosted solution?

A hosted solution is an application that is used by you but that is looked after by an external company allowing you to benefit from economies of scale.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. All information is stored in a secure location with battery back up to servers. All data is backed up daily.

How long does the free trial last?

1 month. Though we can arrange longer trial for you if you require one.

How often is the data updated?

Your directory can be updated as often or as little as you like.

Is the directory accessibility compliant?

Yes. assist:directory is W3C AAA compliant - the highest accessibility standard there is.

How long will it take to get my directory up and running?

Usually it takes us around two weeks from receiving an order to having a full directory up and running.

What does my annual subscribtion cover?

The annual subscription covers the core assist:directory component along with the modules that you have selected. With this you get telephone support, secure data storage and free updates if the service is improved.

Can I still produce a printed version of my directory?

There is still a pdf download module available for those wishing to have a printed version of your directory.

Where can I source data from if I don't have any?

There are a number of data suppliers who will sell you data for your directory. We are able to recommend some if you do not know of any.

How much does the directory cost?

Do you provide any training?

Training can be performed over the phone to the key user. If you wo8uld like more training, we can visit you to provide training to a group of up to six people for an additional cost. Please call us on 0845 009 2788 for details.
